ISO 8217 is evolving rapidly and we have undergone four revisions since 2015. Most suppliers comply with ISO 8217 2010, a standard also widely used by contracted parties. However, some regions of Russia still only adhere to the previous version of the standard.

At Black Sea Ship Bunkering we encourage our suppliers to comply with the latest available ISO 8217 standard. However, sometimes local conditions may prevent this.

While earlier versions of products were perfectly fine for use and some were even within later standards, outdated specifications could leave contracted parties facing a contractual gap between the ISO parameters actually tested and those required.
